Our restorative treatments
Here at Blue Tree Clinics, we provide the most comprehensive range of treatments for restorative dentistry Dubai has seen. You can read more about each of these treatments below or for a more in-depth explanation, pick up the phone and give our team a call.
Crowns
Crowns are tooth-shaped caps that are designed to encase the visible portion of the tooth fully. This usually includes the areas both at and below the gum line with the intention of restoring the shape, size and strength of the tooth. From rebuilding a broken tooth to supporting a large filling or as a cosmetic modification, crowns form the backbone of the restorative dentistry in Dubai that we provide.
The crowns themselves can be made from different materials such as stainless steel, porcelain (fused to metal) or ceramic. A typical treatment involves an initial visit where we examine the tooth, take x-rays, re-shape and take impressions of the tooth to send to our lab technicians. We will use this opportunity to affix a temporary crown.
For your next visit, the temporary crown will be removed, and our restorative dentistry Dubai specialist will check the fit of the new crown. If the crown fits, an anesthetic will be applied and the crown permanently fitted.
Bridges
As the name suggests, a bridge is designed to close a large gap where one or more teeth are missing. Consisting of two or more crowns (abutments) at either side, these are connected in the middle by a false tooth/ teeth (pontics). The purpose of a bridge is to restore the shape of your face, your bite, prevent other teeth from drifting out of place and restore your appearance.
The existing teeth are re-contoured, and a small amount of enamel is removed to allow room for the crowns. Impressions are taken which will allow us to build the bridge including the abutments and pontics – a temporary bridge will be fitted. Our restorative dentistry in Dubai team will then check the fit of your new bridge before permanently fixing it in place – this usually occurs during the second visit.
Dental Fillings
Dental fillings are a form of Dubai restorative dentistry that is used to fill cavities in teeth as well as repair cracks and other minor damage. Traditional fillings are made from amalgam. However, we can also supply fillings in a range of materials such as gold, composite, ceramic, etc. Ceramic fillings are a great choice for teeth that are visible, as they match the natural shade making them virtually impossible to spot.
For standard fillings, the decayed area is extracted and cleaned to remove any bacteria. The filling is then inserted, and the tooth polished to leave it looking as good as new. A lining of composite resin may be used if the filling is located close to a nerve.
With tooth-colored fillings, the restorative dentistry Dubai process that we follow is a little more complex. The material is applied in layers with each layer hardened using a special light.
Inlays and Overlays
Inlays follow a similar principle to fillings as they are inserted inside the tooth, whereas onlays extend over the tooth. Typically, inlays and onlays are suggested where the damage to the tooth is too serious for a filling but not bad enough to warrant a crown. Often these are used to replace an older filling. The beauty of this is that we can preserve more of your original tooth structure for longer lasting results.
The process for creating and fitting inlays and onlays is more or less the same as with fillings and crowns. Any decay or damage is removed, and a mold of the teeth is taken to be passed to our lab technicians. Temporary inlays and onlays can be fitted while the new ones are created. Your new ones will be permanently fitted during your second visit.

Testimonial
“After losing a couple of teeth in an accident, I was left with a rather unsightly gap. A quick visit to Blue Tree was all it took, the guys there were great and were thorough in their examination. After taking some x-rays and an impression, I was given a temporary bridge to wear. It took only a week for my new one to be made and it looks just like my old teeth!” – Coleman
